Objective
This course is designed for those who are familiar with the basic requirements of IFRS but need to be updated for developments within the previous 6 to 12 months. The course will look at Standards coming into effect and other new documents within the time period.
Contents
All new IFRS or revised IAS coming into effect or issued in the previous 12 months; for example
IFRS 9 and all related amendments to the accounting for financial instruments
IFRS annual improvements project
IFRS for SMEs - final form of the option and current EU and UK legal position
New IFRS for discontinued operations, termination costs and joint ventures
Presentation of financial statements
Key issues from the IFRIC
Any new IFRIC issued over the preceding 6 to 12 months
Brief update on current project plan
Guidance on appropriate implementation
Financial Reporting Review Panel notices
ICAEW and other guidance
