What are the course aims and objectives? 

The UK auditing standards are changing. The Auditing Practices Board has now announced that for 15 December 2010 period ends onwards, the new Clarified International Auditing Standards (ISAs) will be applied in the UK. This course is intended to give auditors a good initial understanding of the new ISAs (UK and Ireland). 

Who should attend? 

The content of the course is aimed at auditors and is suitable for audit partners, managers and qualified staff.

This course will help firms prepare for and understand the changes. In particular it will cover: 

• What are Clarified ISAs 
• An overview of the revisions to the standards 
• The impact on quality control systems 
• Practical examples of the changes 
• How much extra work is needed 
• Practice Note 26 (Revised) 
• Case studies
