• To provide a refresher and update to those professionals involved in the accounting and audit of pension schemes 
• To consider the requirements of the Pensions Act 1995 and 2004 in respect of defined benefit and defined contribution schemes 
• The requirements of the SORP 2007 
• To consider the issues raised by the Pensions Regulator 
• To consider the requirements of Codes of Practice and the impact on accountants and auditors 
• To consider the requirements of guidance issued by the APB in respect of pension scheme audits
