Who should attend
Those who have either recently taken on responsibility for the management and running of projects or are likely to do so in the near future. Equally, it will benefit those who want to adopt a more disciplined approach to how they work on complex tasks.
Aim of the course
If you need to manage a project or co-ordinate a complex piece of work this practical and interactive course will arm you with the approaches, tools and techniques to do so effectively and successfully.
The course will give you not just an insight into the skills needed to be effective in running projects but also practical tools to help you break down the process so that you can plan out what needs
to be done at each stage, monitor progress and manage towards a successful result - not only one you will be happy with but, more importantly, one which your client or other stakeholders in the project will also judge a success.

- A five stage approach to project management
- Risks and constraints
- Time/cost/quality
- Identifying tasks needed to complete the project
- Tools and techniques - including Work Breakdown Structures, Gantt Charts and Critical Path Analysis
- The people side of project management
- Application to participants' own projects
