Sage Line 50 - Functions for Auditors

Who Should Attend 

  • Accountants of all levels who have clients who use Sage Line 50.

  • Participants do not need any prior knowledge of Sage. 

What You Can Gain 

The course demonstrates those features of Sage that will either:- 

  • assist the Audit process, or

  • enable clients to derive greater benefit from the software. 

The course does not show you how to enter basic day to day transactions, which it assumes the client can already do.

Course Content 

  • Introduction: 

    • The layout of the package

    • Versions available

  • Functions for use during the Audit: 

    • Correcting entries without using journals

    • Including VAT in journals

    • Debtors Ageing Reports – with and without deducting cash after date

    • Ensuring Debtors and Creditors Control Accounts are equal to the Ledgers

    • Bad Debts and similar Journals

    • Month End and Year End procedures

    • Identifying all the Journal Entries that have been made in the year

  • Functions to assist your Client:

    • Backing Up

    • Selecting those reports that clients may wish to prepare monthly

    • Amending the P&L layout so it shows individual N/L Accounts

    • Avoiding errors in VAT Reports (pre-dated transactions)

    • Emailing Reports

    • Emailing Invoices & Statements

    • Exporting data into Excel

CPD: 3 Hours
FEE: £80 plus VAT or 1 'Block Booking Place' (from £49 plus VAT)
