Our City & Guilds accredited HVSO10 course (Safe Operation of 33 kV Power Systems) is a two-day accreditation designed specifically for individuals already authorised to switch HV systems that run at up to 15 kV, and who are looking to extend their competence to 33 kV indoor networks. The course emphasises safe handling of indoor switchgear in line with Electricity at Work Regulations and industry safety rules.

Held at our state-of-the-art high voltage training centres, this programme prioritises hands-on workshop sessions. By course end, you’ll be equipped to operate and switch 33 kV switchgear confidently under authorisation protocols.

Why enrol on the City & Guilds HVSO10 33kV course?

This HVSO10 training expands your switching authorisation to include indoor 33 kV systems, a critical competency for those working in industrial substations, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure. It ensures compliance and boosts your confidence working on more complex HV systems.

Our focus on practical workshops means most learning happens using high-voltage equipment (run at a safe low voltage). Trainers support you through real-life switching scenarios and paperwork management. Successful delegates leave with a recognised Certificate of Competency in 33 kV HV operation accredited by City & Guilds.
