Our City & Guilds accredited HVSO10 course (Safe Operation of 33 kV Power Systems) is a two-day accreditation designed specifically for individuals already authorised to switch HV systems that run at up to 15 kV, and who are looking to extend their competence to 33 kV indoor networks. The course emphasises safe handling of indoor switchgear in line with Electricity at Work Regulations and industry safety rules.

Those already fully authorised and qualified to switch on 15 kV equipment, who need to operate indoor 33 kV switchgear in substations, industrial, or utility settings.
Yes, you will be required to pass a written exam and a practical switching assessment to receive a Certificate of Competency accredited by City & Guilds. Candidates who choose not to sit the exams, or who are unsuccessful in doing so, will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance.
Yes, a Certificate of Attendance is given if you choose not to take, or do not pass, the assessments.
Yes, this training builds on prior competence to 15 kV. You will not be permitted to enrol if you are not qualified to work on 15 kV systems.
