Our City & Guilds HVSO2: Safe Access to High Voltage Substations & Switchrooms course is a one-day, City & Guilds-accredited programme designed for both electrical and non-electrical personnel who need authorised access to substations or switchrooms, but will not operate high-voltage (HV) equipment. It ensures compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations and established HV safety protocols.
Delivered at our PASS Stockton-on-Tees High Voltage Training Centre, the session combines clear classroom instruction with realistic facility walkthroughs. Participants gain confidence in recognising hazards, following correct entry procedures and working safely within high-voltage zones.
This course equips delegates with the essential knowledge to enter and work safely in high-voltage areas, without operating HV equipment. It offers peace of mind to employers and ensures personnel meet legal and safety criteria.
Delivered by experienced instructors in a dedicated HV facility, the training blends theoretical awareness with practical demonstrations and case studies. Participants leave with a recognised City & Guilds Certificate of Competency (provided candidates pass the written and practical exams).
