Low Voltage Authorised Person Course Overview

This course provides comprehensive training on the statutory regulations, codes of practice, safety procedures, and technical aspects relating to low-voltage power systems up to 1000V AC, enabling you to isolate and de-isolate LV equipment. Candidates will be taught safe operating procedures, including lockout/tagout, risk assessment, and the issue and control of safety documentation. Additionally, practical sessions provide an opportunity for participants to practice what they’ve learn on mock industrial power installations.

Entry Requirements

Prerequisites

Candidates should be involved in the operation, commissioning, testing, inspection, maintenance, or repair of low-voltage installations (up to 1000V AC). Furthermore, all attendees must have a good command of written and spoken English and be aged over 18.

Candidates who complete the course and pass the assessment will receive a Certificate of Competency accredited by City & Guilds. Those who complete the course and choose not to sit the exams, or who are unsuccessful in passing them, will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
