City & Guilds Power Quality Analysis & Mitigation Course
Our purpose-built two-day Power Quality Training Course is designed for electrical engineers, technicians and contractors seeking to diagnose and resolve issues such as harmonics, voltage dips, and flicker in line with UK standards.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with power quality analysers (PQA), guided by expert tutors at our Stockton-on-Tees High Voltage Training Centre. By the end, you’ll be able to interpret real-world data confidently and recommend effective solutions to improve compliance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Why enrol on Power Quality Training?
This specialist training gives you the practical tools and technical knowledge to identify and manage power quality disturbances, a must for anyone working on industrial or commercial electrical installations. It adds real value by helping you reduce operational downtime and improve system resilience.
We deliver expert-led instruction, combining classroom theory with practical sessions. Our training centre’s real-world setups mean you will leave fully capable of delivering on-site surveys and compliance reporting backed by recognised methods and standards.
Power Quality Training Course Overview
This two-day programme combines theoretical teaching with practical PQA sessions to build power quality competence. It covers the following technical subjects:
- Typical power quality measurement equipment
- Power quality standards
- Power quality measurement parameters
- Typical connection/configuration arrangements
- Understanding relevant hardware and components
- Downloading PQA data via Wi-Fi, USB, and remote access
- Analysing data and creating reports and standard compliance checks
