This course is designed for engineers, maintenance staff, and operations personnel appointed as a Skilled Person on boiler and pressure systems under the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR 2000).
Assessment is through a written paper on an isolation documentation exercise, ensuring candidates can apply safe systems of work in practice.
Upon successful completion, delegates are awarded a formal Certificate of Competence, confirming their skills and knowledge in managing boiler and pressure systems safely.
Delegates should have relevant experience with mechanical pressure systems and basic understanding of safe working procedures to gain the full benefit of the course.
Skills in boiler and pressure system safety should be refreshed periodically. Reassessment ensures ongoing competence and compliance with statutory requirements.
