This qualification verifies your competence with cooker appliances in accordance with UK industry standards and is relevant for both Natural Gas and LPG installations.

The CKR1 assessment evaluates your gas safety competence in working with domestic gas cookers, including safe installation, commissioning, fault diagnosis, servicing, and breakdown attendance.

It certifies your competence to safely install, commission, service, and repair domestic cooking appliances under Gas Safe regulations.
Gas engineers with valid CCN1 (or equivalent) who wish to work on domestic cookers, ovens, hotplates, or add this module to their certification.
You can complete a reassessment if expiry was within the last 12 months; otherwise, you must undertake initial assessment again.
CKR1 alone does not cover range-type appliances. Holding CKR1 alongside CENWAT1 and CPA1 may allow Gas Safe registration for ranges.
