Prerequisites & Routes
Entry Requirements
There are three main routes:
- Diploma route: For
new entrants without workplace access—approximately 427 guided learning hours centre-based
- NVQ route: For
those working in industry—mixed centre and workplace learning, guided total 585–608 hours
- RPL (Recognition of Prior
Learning): For operatives with documented experience who seek fast-track NVQ certification
