The ITC Category I Thermography Online Course is designed for professionals who want to use thermal imaging safely, accurately and in line with recognised international standards. Aligned to ISO 18436, this Level 1 qualification provides the foundational knowledge needed to carry out basic thermographic inspections and understand thermal images with confidence.
Delivered online in a structured, tutor-led format, the course is suitable for electricians, maintenance engineers, facilities professionals and building specialists who need to identify thermal anomalies, reduce risk and improve fault detection. It focuses on correct camera use, core infrared principles and reliable reporting, ensuring your inspections are both technically sound and professionally credible.

Why take the ITC Category I Thermography qualification?
This qualification gives you a recognised entry point into professional thermography. Rather than relying on guesswork or camera automation, you learn how thermal images are formed, what influences accuracy, and how to interpret results correctly. That knowledge is critical when inspections inform safety decisions, maintenance planning or compliance work.
We deliver the ITC Cat I course as a complete, online training package that mirrors classroom-based learning. You benefit from structured tuition, real-world inspection examples and clear alignment with ISO standards, allowing you to apply thermography confidently within your trade or organisation from day one.
