The Domestic Electrical Installer Package combines five individual electrical training courses, each accredited by either City & Guilds, PASS, or LCL, and is designed to teach you how to install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair domestic electrical systems.

Courses must be taken in order. However, they don’t need to be completed consecutively, allowing you to book each training programme at a time and location convenient to you, so you can expand your skill set without compromising your income.

This three-day course, accredited by PASS, combines practical and classroom learning to teach basic electrical principles, circuit design, wiring methods, and safe working procedures.

Individuals considering a career as an electrician may also benefit from this course package. However, please note that completing the course will not qualify you as an electrician.

Prerequisites

As mentioned, you do not require any previous electrical qualifications, experience, or knowledge to enrol on this course. Nonetheless, you must be over the age of 18 and have a good command of written and spoken English.

  • Qualification (on passing): Level 3 Certificate accredited by City & Guilds

  • Assessment: 20-question, multiple-choice online exam
  • Qualification (on passing): Level 3 Certificate accredited by City & Guilds

LCL Awards Domestic Electric Installer (Part P)

  • Assessment: Observed practical task, design assessment, and a 40-question online exam
  • Qualification (on passing): Level Two Certificate accredited by LCL Awards
