Does the 18th Edition course include Amendment 4 updates?

Our 18th Edition course (Amendment 4) reflects the latest updates to the IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018+A4:2026. It is designed to ensure learners are working in line with current industry requirements and modern electrical installation practices.

The latest amendment introduces updated requirements across key areas of electrical installation work, including improved guidance on protection, inspection and testing, and the integration of modern technologies such as electric vehicle charging, solar PV, and battery storage systems. These updates ensure installations remain safe, efficient, and compliant with current industry expectations.

Courses are updated in line with changes to BS 7671 as they are released, ensuring learners are always trained in the most current regulations and best practice standards used across the electrical industry.

Our BS 7671 Amendment 4 (2026) guide outlines everything electricians need to know.

When will the 19th edition wiring regulations be released?

The IET has not announced any plans or dates for the 19th edition. There is currently no confirmed release schedule, and claims suggesting a 2025 release are incorrect. The next update will be the 18th Edition Amendment 4, scheduled for publication in 2026.

We strongly advise learners not to delay taking a City & Guilds 2382 course. Staying up-to-date with the current standards ensures compliance and safety. While the 19th edition may eventually follow, the 18th edition remains the industry standard, and completing your qualification now keeps your skills and certification current.
